Bow River Boat Ramps

The Calgary River Access Strategy is a game-changer for Bow River fishing access.  From six boat ramps within and downstream of Calgary, we will see an expansion to nine in two years. As the full impact of the strategy rolls out we can expect to see more than 17 boat ramps from West Baker Park in the northwest of Calgary down to Carseland. The map list all existing and proposed boat ramps. The following legends apply to the boat ramp map:

Existing boat ramps that are currently accessible for trailered drift boats use.

  “Hand Launch Only." Three of which should become accessible for trailered drift boats use within 2- 3 years.

Three new boat ramps developed by the City of Calgary as a part of the River Access Strategy. Ogden and Inglewood should be available in 2020 and Douglasdale: TBD

Future boat ramp sites that will be developed as Calgary expands downstream. Seton may be the first on the list as a replacement for Policeman’s Flats.
